Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Remoteli Talent Platform ("Talent Platform"), operated by Remote Work Digital Limited ("Remoteli", "we", "us", or "our").

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Remoteli. By accessing, registering on, or using the Talent Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply globally.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

"Talent"
Any individual who registers on the Talent Platform to be considered for remote work opportunities, engagements, or placements facilitated by Remoteli.
"Talent Platform"
The digital platform operated by Remoteli through which Talent profiles are created, assessed, managed, and matched with potential client engagements.
"Client"
Any third-party business or organisation that engages Remoteli for managed talent services. Clients are not parties to these Terms.
"Engagement"
Any work arrangement, assignment, placement, or project facilitated by Remoteli between Talent and a Client.
"User"
Any individual accessing or using the Talent Platform, including Talent and visitors.
"Content"
All information, data, materials, text, images, assessments, feedback, or other content submitted to or generated through the Talent Platform.
"Circumvention"
Any attempt to bypass Remoteli by engaging directly with Clients introduced through the Talent Platform without Remoteli’s involvement.

2. Eligibility & Registration

2.1 You must be at least 18 years of age to register on the Talent Platform.

2.2 By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

  • All information provided is accurate, complete, and truthful
  • You have the legal right to work from your country of residence
  • You are not restricted by any contract, law, or obligation from offering your services

2.3 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity conducted under your account.

2.4 You may not create more than one account without Remoteli’s prior written consent.

2.5 Remoteli reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or present legal, reputational, or compliance risk.

2.6 We may request identity verification, documentation, or additional information at any time for compliance, vetting, or operational purposes.

3. Nature of the Relationship

3.1 Registration on the Talent Platform does not create:

  • An employment relationship
  • A partnership
  • An agency relationship
  • Any guarantee of work or income

3.2 Your legal status may vary by Engagement and may include independent contractor, fixed-term contractor, or other defined arrangements, which will be communicated separately.

3.3 Nothing in these Terms constitutes an offer of employment or ongoing work.

4. Talent Profiles & Information

4.1 Talent profiles may include professional history, skills, experience, assessments, availability, and performance-related data.

4.2 You agree to keep your profile information accurate and up to date.

4.3 Remoteli may review, edit, redact, or remove profile information to ensure accuracy, compliance, or platform integrity.

4.4 Personal contact details (such as personal email addresses, phone numbers, or home addresses) will not be made publicly visible.

4.5 You may request profile anonymisation or deactivation by contacting Remoteli support.

5. Vetting, Assessments & Monitoring

5.1 By using the Talent Platform, you consent to:

  • Skills assessments
  • Interviews
  • Reference or background checks (where applicable)
  • Ongoing performance monitoring during Engagements

5.2 Assessment results are used internally by Remoteli and may influence eligibility for current or future opportunities.

5.3 Remoteli does not guarantee that completion of assessments will result in placement.

6. Engagements & Assignments

6.1 Engagements are facilitated at Remoteli’s discretion based on Client needs, Talent suitability, and operational requirements.

6.2 Final decisions regarding assignments rest with Remoteli and/or the Client.

6.3 Engagement terms, including scope, hours, duration, and compensation, are communicated separately and may vary.

6.4 Remoteli may pause, reassign, or end an Engagement due to performance concerns, Client requirements, or business necessity.

7. Compensation

7.1 Compensation structures vary by Engagement, role, location, and contractual arrangement.

7.2 Payment details will be communicated prior to the commencement of any Engagement.

7.3 You are responsible for:

  • Declaring income
  • Paying applicable taxes
  • Complying with local employment or contractor regulations

7.4 Remoteli is not responsible for personal tax liabilities unless explicitly agreed in writing.

8. Platform Conduct & Obligations

8.1 You agree to use the Talent Platform in a professional, lawful, and ethical manner.

8.2 You must not:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Misrepresent your identity, skills, or availability
  • Share confidential Client or platform information
  • Engage in behaviour that damages Remoteli or Clients

8.3 Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Talent Platform.

9. Anti-Circumvention & Non-Solicitation

9.1 You agree not to solicit, accept, or engage in direct work with any Client introduced through Remoteli outside the Platform.

9.2 This restriction applies during any Engagement and for 24 months following the last interaction with the Client.

9.3 Circumvention includes direct contracts, off-platform payments, or third-party arrangements designed to bypass Remoteli.

9.4 Breach of this clause may result in immediate termination and legal action.

10. Confidentiality

10.1 You agree to maintain the confidentiality of all non-public information relating to:

  • Clients
  • Remoteli operations
  • Platform systems
  • Commercial arrangements

10.2 Confidentiality obligations survive termination of these Terms for five (5) years, or as required by law.

11. Intellectual Property

11.1 Remoteli retains all rights, title, and interest in the Talent Platform and its underlying technology, branding, and systems.

11.2 Work produced during an Engagement is governed by the applicable Engagement agreement.

11.3 You may not reuse, resell, or disclose Client work without written permission.

12. Data Protection

12.1 Remoteli processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR and EU GDPR.

12.2 By using the Talent Platform, you consent to data processing as described in the Privacy Policy.

12.3 Remoteli implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

13. Suspension & Termination

13.1 Remoteli may suspend or terminate access to the Talent Platform at any time for:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Compliance or legal concerns
  • Inactivity or performance issues

13.2 Termination does not entitle you to future Engagements or compensation beyond completed and approved work.

14. Limitation of Liability

14.1 The Talent Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

14.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remoteli shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of income or opportunity
  • Indirect or consequential damages

14.3 Total liability shall not exceed the greater of £500 or the amount paid to you by Remoteli in the six (6) months preceding the claim.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Updates to These Terms

16.1 Remoteli may update these Terms from time to time.

16.2 Continued use of the Talent Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
